Security screws are otherwise standard screws but with a unique head, making it difficult to remove with common tools, even impossible without the matching driver. Security Screws are used for securing materials from being tampered with.

There are two main types of Tamper Proof Screws:

1."One Way screws" are typically installed using a conventional screwdriver, ...but once installed ,they cannot be removed. Like S-type (one way)screws

2."Two Way screws" are Anti-tamper screws that can be removed at a later date if required, but you will need a special matching security screwdriver tool to install or remove them. For example :  Torx with Pin Head screws , Triangle Socket screws , Snake Eye screw , H type head screw , Y type head screw and so on .

Application

These metal threads and screws are used to stop theft from removing important items. They can be fastened with a slotted driver but the screw head stops them being removed when turning anti-clockwise.
