The new generation of high-strength threaded technology HELICOIL Smart from Böllhoff has recently been launched, so that the coil-type threaded insert with a shank foot does not have to be broken after fastening.

The innovative feature of this technology is that the mounting mandrel bends backwards during rotation and then holds it in place. This intelligent threaded insert combines the advantages of the previous HELICOIL Plus and HELICOIL Tangfree. HELICOIL Smart Threaded Insert is made of a beveled wire with a flexible spiral.

To lock in the threaded insert, all you need is a smart mounting mandrel that functions like a tapping device and is similar in size. What is special is the control of the tool position. Once locked in, the tool has an internal pull function, but if it is withdrawn, it turns into a tool that can be bent and applied with compressive force.
