b>Why Choose Quick Release Pin

Quick release pins are ideal in applications where there is repetitive or frequent use of the pin. In addition, they can be used in situations where the operator is wearing gloves or has limited range of hand motion.

Quick release pins have a wide range of applications in fastening, locating, and alignment applications. The pins will not release until the button on the handle is depressed offering secure and safe fastening. Once the button is depressed, the balls retract into the pin allowing the pin to be inserted or removed into or out of a hole.  Because they are positive locking, they can replace traditional fasteners such as nuts and bolts, cotter pins, hitch pins, etc. They also allow the user to insert and remove the pins without the use of tools making them ideal for field work and quick change operations.

The dome actuator buttons are available in 300 series stainless steel or 2024-T4 aluminum and clear anodized.  The new domed handle pins are available in three shank materials to meet a wide range of application needs:

4130 Alloy Steel – Made from heat treated and plated 4130 alloy steel, these pins are ideal where high strength is required and environmental factors are not an issue. They are finished with Hexavalent free zinc plating.

17-4 Stainless Steel – Made from heat treated 17-4 stainless steel, they are designed for applications where higher shear strengths are required. Because they are made from stainless steel, they offer superior corrosion resistance over alloy steel. This combination of strength and corrosion resistance makes it a good choice for a wide range of demanding applications.

300 Series Stainless Steel – Made from 300 series stainless, these pins are not designed to be used where shear strengths are demanding. While these pins offer lower shear strengths than other materials, they are strong enough to meet the needs for many applications. This material also offers very good corrosion resistance.

All pins are available in both inch and metric sizes.
